A bright and scorching afternoon at Como Lake Park in Lancaster was the site for two league wins for the Canisius Cross Country team.

In the face of the challenging heat, the Crusaders scored victories over Bishop Timon and Cardinal O'Hara. 

The team was led by Vincent Misterkiewicz '24, who finished second overall, and Hector Gitego, who was third overall with a PR time of 19:18.

Bishop Timon had a strong race as Tiger runners finished first, fourth and fifth. Matthew Pierce '25, Jack Ganci '25 and Evan Galvin '24 finished sixth, seventh and eighth (respectively) to help Canisius to the win.

The final score was close with the Crusaders edging the Tigers 26-32. 

Next up for the Crusaders is a three-way Monsignor Martin Athletic Association match with Nichols and St. Mary's on Wednesday, Oct 11 on the Gow School campus.
