A sunny Wednesday afternoon at Como Lake Park in Lancaster was a beautiful setting for the Crusaders to open up Monsignor Martin Athletic Assocation competition.
The Crusaders split against formidable opponents St. Francis and Gow and begin the season with a 1-1 record.
The Crusaders defeated Gow, 17-46, and fell to three-time defending All-Catholic champion Red Raiders by a score of 44-17.Â
The team was led by Vincent Misteriewcz '24 with a PR ime of 18:59.
Crusader scoring included
Jack Ganci '25 with a time of 20:15 and
Matthew Pierce '25 with a PR time of 20:33.
Aiden Rivera '27 also set a PR of 21:22.
Evan Galvin '24 had a time of 21:31.Â
Peter Kooshoian '24 set a new PR with a time of 21:57.Â
The Crusaders will travel to Rochester on Saturday, Sept. 30 to participate in the outstanding McQuaid Invitational.
