The Canisius cross country team celebrated Senior Night by claiming dual victories on the bucolic trails of Como Park.

The Crusaders defeated Timon by a score of 23-36 and the combined O'Hara/Park team by a score of 15-50. 

Thirteen of 17 runners set a personal record for the 5K distance. Senior Captains Ethan Johnson (18:57) and Hector Gitego (19:03) led the team to victory. Other notable PRs included sophomores Eli Faso (19:55) and Quinn Spurlock (20:23). Senior Thomas Tran set a PR with a time of 20:25. The freshmen were led by Jackson Polino with a time of 22:23. 

The team's next challenge will be on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at Como Lake Park when they take on St. Francis and Gow School.
