Canisius High School had two seniors named to the 2025-26 Winter All-Western New York Scholar-Athlete Team:
Cole Frederick '26 of Orchard Park (Basketball)
Nick Scime '26 of Amherst (Hockey)
The team is named by a Section VI committee and is based on athletes that are key contributors to the team that also excel in the classroom (minimum 90% cumulative average).Â
Canisius also had three seniors who earned honorable mention:

Jack Grillo '26 of East Amherst (Hockey)
Matt Kreuzer '26 of Orchard Park (Hockey
Canisius had additional athletes who met the requirements for nomination to the All-WNY Scholar Athlete Team in sports that are not recognized by Section VI.Â
