It's officially the postseason for Canisius High School Football, and how's this for a playoff matchup:

The 100th meeting between Canisius and St. Joe's, with the lead in the all-time series at stake.

The Crusaders will host St. Joe's in the Monsignor Martin Athletic Association semifinals at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4 on Koessler Field at the Stransky Memorial Athletic Complex.

Canisius dominated St. Joe's, 49-7, in Week Four to tie up the all-time rivalry series for the first time since 1987.

The series is even at 48-48-3.

The Crusaders have beaten St. Joe's eight straight times and have won 18 of the teams' last 19 games.

Tickets are $7 in advance at the CHS front reception desk this week from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.; tickets are $10 at the gate.

The winner will play for the MMAA championship at St. Francis on Friday, Nov. 10.

FOOD DRIVE: All fans are asked to help contribute to the CHS Food Drive by bringing non-perishable food (such as canned foods and pancake mix), which will be collected before the game by students and CHS Campus Ministry.
The Food Drive is part of the Great Ignatian Challenge, a competition among Jesuit high schools throughout the country.

NOVEMBERFEST! Join the party as you support all the great work of the Canisius High School Parents Association at Novemberfest! The event is Saturday from 4-7 p.m. at our Tripi Field. Enjoy beer, cider, food, music, prizes and more. Get your tickets through the link in our bio.

LAST GAME: Canisius closed out the best schedule in WNY high school football Friday night with a 29-6 win at Erie High in Pennsylvania.

The Crusaders scored 23 points in the third quarter to take control of what had been a scoreless game at halftime, powering past the Royals at Erie Veterans Memorial Stadium.

Jahyden Clark '25 had five receptions for 117 yards in the win as he became the all-time receptions leader at Canisius High School with 101.

Elijah Kimble '27, who has been offered scholarships by Oregon, Penn State and Syracuse, carried 19 times for 228 yards and two touchdowns at Erie.

BEST SCHEDULE: This was Canisius' second game against a team from Pennsylvania. The Crusaders' schedule also saw three teams from Ohio, Canadian national top 10 program Huron Heights, a second straight WNY Game of the Year at Section VI power Lancaster along with its rivalry matchup with St. Joe's and its perennial Monsignor Martin Athletic Association heavyweight showdown with St. Francis.
