Canisius Soccer was on the unfortunate side of an unlucky result on the road Monday night against one of the perennial powers in Western New York. 

The Crusaders fell to undefeated No. 1 small school East Aurora, 2-1, when they surrendered an own goal off an EA corner kick. 

The lone Canisius goal was scored by Zachary Bonuito '25.

Canisius entered Monday's play as the third-ranked large school in Western New York. 

Next up for the Crusaders is a home Monsignor Martin Athletic Association match against St. Mary's at 4:30pm on Friday Sept. 29 at Koessler Field.
