Soccer captain Zachary Bonuito '25 named an All-American

12/11/2024 6:42:00 PM

Zachary Bonuito '25: All-American.

Bonuito, a senior captain who helped lead CHS Soccer to their Monsignor Martin Athletic Association championship season, was one of 78 boys nationwide named to the United Soccer Coaches High School All-American Team.

He was one of just nine selections from New York State, one of just three from upstate and the only one from Western New York.

The midfielder from Lancaster is a two-time All-Western New York first-team selection. He had eight goals and 15 assists this season for a total of 19 goals and 24 assists in his career.

Bonuito had a goal and an assist to lead the Crusaders to a dominating second half in a 3-1 victory over St. Joe's in this year's Monsignor Martin championship game.

The All-American honorees will be recognized at the United Soccer Coaches All-America Ceremony on Jan. 11, 2025 at the McCormick Convention Center in Chicago as part of the United Soccer Coaches Convention.
