Make it a third straight Manhattan Cup championship game for CHS Basketball.
The Crusaders battled their way to a 60-56 victory over Nichols in the Manhattan Cup semifinals Monday night at Canisius University's Koessler Athletic Center.
Nick Purdie '25 scored a game-high 25 while
Johnny Esposito '25 hit a go-ahead three-pointer and had key steals late in the fourth quarter during a 16-point game.
Canisius will again meet Bishop Timon-St. Jude, which won last year's final, in the championship game. The teams split their meetings this year in the Monsignor Martin Athletic Association. Timon ran away from St. Joe's, 72-58.
The top-seeded Crusaders and No. 2 Tigers will meet at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday at Canisius U.

The game is part of a championship doubleheader that begins at 6 p.m. with the girls final between Cardinal O'Hara and Nichols.
