CHS Squash players traveled to St. Louis to compete in the MICDS Tournament hosted by Mary Institute and Saint Louis Country Day School.

Tommy Sheehan '25, Liam Ainslie '24, Oscar Bruce '24, Peter Kooshoian '24, Josh Mercurio '27; Hasan Siddiqui '26, Max Bruce '26, Nick Adams '24, Patrick Sullivan '24, Cameron Culligan '24, Cole Hoffman '27, Michael Burke '26 and John Dunn '26 represented Canisius.

(L 6-1) vs Louisville Collegiate - Louisville, KY

 Individual highlights:
- Tommy Sheehan '25 went 4-1 at the number one spot.
- Co-Captain Liam Ainslie '24 played extremely well at the number 2 position going 2-3 with four of those matches going the distance of five games.
- Co-Captain Oscar Bruce '24 had a terrific tournament going 3-2 at the number three spot. 
- Ironman and co-captain Peter Kooshoian '24 went 4-2 at the number four spot.
- Josh Mercurio '27 who exemplified competition on his first road trip with the team.
- Hasan Siddiqui '26 using last year's nationals as an alternate, stepped up and played some of the most inspired squash of his young career.
- Max Bruce '26 also brought his A game and went 2-1.

Coach Steve Joyce was very pleased with the performance of is team:

"Having Freshmen Cole Hoffman, John Dunn and Josh Mercurio on their first trip was a great experience for them and the team. It has been a while since we've had this level freshmen make a trip against this strong competition. Sophomores Michael Burke and Max Bruce also joined for their first trip and improved greatly from the higher competition. Senior co-captain Patrick Sullivan and classmates Nick Adams and Cameron Culligan also joined and were excellent  leaders and showed excellent effort as you would expect. It bodes well to have some sophomores gaining ground as we graduate so many seniors."
