Four Crusaders from CHS Swimming were among the very fastest swimmers in the state this past weekend at the overall state Federation championships in Ithaca.
Peter Peyser '25 took sixth in the 100-yard breaststroke while he and 200 freestyle relay teammates
Ryan Stravino '24,
Atticus Young '26 and
Erik Parkes '24 also finished sixth in that event at Ithaca College.
Peyser also finished 12th in the 50 free while Young was 15th in the 100 breast and 38th in the 200 free. Parkes was 22nd in the 100 butterfly and 30th in the 200 free.
The state Federation championships bring together the best in the state's public (NYSPHSAA) and private schools as well as champions from New York City's Public Schools Athletic League. The Crusaders earned their trip to the overall state meet by winning titles last month at the New York State Catholic High School Athletic Association championships on Long Island.
CHS started its postseason by earning its 22nd straight All-Catholic crown at the Monsignor Martin Athletic Association championships.
