CHS Soccer lost their season opener at Pennsylvania powerhouse Cathedral Prep, 1-0, Saturday afternoon in Erie, Pa.
The Crusaders held their own against the defending PIAA Champions controlling possession for the majority of the game.
An offsides call negated what would have been a Canisius goal in the opening three minutes of the match.Â
The Ramblers scored on a breakaway with 11:03 reaming in the first half. The Crusaders threatened with multiple shots on net, but the first half Rambler goal was the decider.
"Really pleased with how we played today," said Head Coach Orville Roberts. "The boys played tactical and took care of the ball."
Next up, the Crusaders see their first Monsignor Martin Athletic Assocation action against St. Francis at
Koessler Field at Robert J. Stranksy Memorial Athletic Complex on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 4:30pm.
