As we celebrate our great nation's Independence Day, two of CHS Rowing's best are participating in USRowing's Under-19 National Team Selection Camp in Chula Vista, California – where a CHS grad is part of the coaching staff.

Isaiah Aljuwani '25 of Kenmore and Liam Feeney '25 of West Seneca, who both helped CHS to unprecedented heights this spring by leading the Crusaders to  multiple national championships, were both selected for the camp, which opened in late June and continues through July 17 at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center.

Those who earned invitations to the camp are competing for spots on USRowing's Under-19 National Team which will represent the United States at the 2025 World Rowing Under-19 Championships on Aug. 6-9 in Trakai, Lithuania.

Jamie Hamp '11 is one of two assistants on the men's coaching staff for the USRowing Under-19 as a Men's Boat Coach. The North Tonawanda native who rowed at Princeton and competed at the Under-23 World Championships is currently the Director of Rowing and Varsity Boys Coach at the Princeton National Rowing Association's Mercer Rowing Program.

Young athletes looking to start a rewarding career in this great sport or hone their rowing skills can do so by learning from our championship program – led by coach Jacob Filby '14 – at CHS Rowing Camp. Learn more at canisiushigh.org/bestsummerever

Families interested in the decades-long winning tradition of CHS Rowing and the excellence only found in a Jesuit education at Canisius – ranked as the Buffalo area's "Best Catholic School" by Business First – can learn more by arranging an on-campus experience via canisiushigh.org/visit

This place is special. Let us show you why.
