Canisius had another strong run at an excellent invitational as it finished 20th among nearly 50 teams in its race at the 60th running of the McQuaid Cross-Country Invitational.
The Crusaders battled teams from all over the northeast United States and Canada as thousands of runners participated at Genesee Valley Park.
Captain
Aidan Rivera once again led the Varsity squad, finishing with a time of 17:22.
Sophomore
Brody Campbell was just one second behind with a time of 17:23.Â

Daniel Kooshoian, and Junior
Peter McGrath rounded out the scoring.
Wyatt VanTine,
Quinn Spurlock, Vincent Ladori, and
Ben Oswald also contributed sub 20-minute performances.
The Varsity squad defeated teams from Bradford PA, Williamsville East, Starpoint, and Brockport.
The JV squad was led by Freshman Alex Teegarden with a time of 19min 40sec.
Freshmen Eoin Stodolka (19:43) and
Garrett Flaherty (19:57) propelled the team to an 8th place finish, defeating teams from Starpoint, Scotia-Glenville, St. Joe's, Greece-Athena and Amherst.Â
The Crusaders will face rival Timon at Como Lake Park on Wednesday at 5:15 p.m. Spectators are welcome.Â
