"It's a dream come true … I'll remember it for the rest of my life."
Those were the words from
Eddie Cosgrove '22 after he delivered an MVP performance as Canisius routed Bishop Timon-St. Jude, 72-40, for the Crusaders' 19th Manhattan Cup championship.
This is 10th Manhattan Cup title under head coach
Kyle Husband '96. That gives him the most in Monsignor Martin Association history; he surpassed Timon all-time great Mel Palano.
Canisius advances to the New York State Catholic High School Athletic Assocation Class A semifinals at 11 a.m. Sunday at Hofstra University on Long Island. The Crusaders will face the winner of Wednesday night's Long Island playoff of Chaminade vs. Holy Trinity.
