CHS Wrestling hosted the 58th Annual Monsignor Martin Athletic Association All-Catholic Championships in the
Bernard J. Kennedy Field House, with eight different Crusaders placing in the top five in their respective weight class. St. Francis rolled to the team title.
Canisius wrestlers
101: Emerson Capote-Weber '27 – 2nd (18.0 team points)
- Capote-Weber received a bye in the quarterfinal before defeating his opponent in the semifinal by fall (3:07).
116: Cameron Wiepert '27 – 2nd (20.0 team points)
- Wiepert had a strong day defeating his opponents by fall in both the quarterfinal (1:20) and semifinal (1:27).
124: Sam Devlin '27 – 3rd (4.0 team points)
- Devlin fell to his opponent in the semifinals, but then bounced back in the third place match by defeating his opponent by major decision (12-2).
145: Branden Wiepert '26 – 3rd (17.5 team points)
- Wiepert started the day by winning the quarterfinal match by fall (1:05). After dropping the semifinal match, Wiepert finished the day strong by winning the consolation semifinal by technical fall (17-2), and the third place match by fall (2:28).
190: James Okun '24 – 3rd (16.0 team points)
- Okun started the day by winning the quarterfinal match by decision (9-3). After dropping the semifinal match, Okun finished the day strong by winning the consolation semifinal by fall (0:17), and the third place match by fall (2:43).
285: Noah Morlock '25– 5th (17.0 team points)
- Morlock won an an impressive five total bouts of seven on the day and won the Aggregate Pin Award for earning four pins in a total time of 2:35 on the way to a 5th place finish.
- Morlock won the championship round one by fall (:22). He then dropped the quarterfinal match before defeating his next two opponents by fall in both the consolation round two (:53) and consolation round three (:26). Though he dropped the consolation semifinal, Morlock finished his day by defeating his fifth place match opponent by fall (:54).
285: Javez Caldwell '26 – 2nd (20.0 team points)
- After winning the championship round one by fall (Fall 1:16), Caldwell gutted out the next two bouts by winning by decision in the quarterfinal (Dec 6-4) and semifinal (Dec 3-1).
