Canisius and CHS Lacrosse will be represented at the 2025 World Lacrosse U20 Championship in South Korea this week as Christopher Sweeney '26 is a member of the Ireland National Team.

Sweeney has been in South Korea since last week for training camp, which included a 8-1 scrimmage victory over New Zealand in which Sweeney scored a goal.

The championships begin Friday on Jeju Island (visible behind Sweeney in the main photo). Ireland is in Pool D and will face Israel in its first game Friday; pool play games against Mexico and China will follow. Nineteen nations are competing in the tournament.

Sweeney recently committed to continue his academic and lacrosse career at Ohio Northern University.
