A great and unique tradition continued with this past weekend's Jesuit Volleyball Classic at CHS.

Loyola Blakefield of Maryland and Colegio San Ignacio of Puerto Rico visited Buffalo to participate in the nation's only Jesuit high school volleyball tournament, which began Friday with community service, a celebration of Mass in our chapel and action on the court of the Bernard J. Kennedy '49 Field House.

On the court, San Ignacio earned first place as the teams rotated through with great matches against each other.

The Crusaders took second place after a back and forth second set in the Championship round.

The visiting teams joined CHS players for service trips Friday morning to St. Luke's Mission of Mercy on the East Side of Buffalo and Our Lady of Victory Charities in Lackawanna, where Paul Zablocki '01 is the Chief Advancement Officer.

The teams gathered Friday afternoon for Mass, celebrated by Assistant to the President Fr. Richard Zanoni, S.J., in our Chapel of the Sacred Heart.

The event began in 2018 and has had its site rotate among these schools and others.
