On Wednesday night, hockey debuted their new Hockey Fights Cancer uniforms as they tied Monsignor Martin Athletic Association front-runner Bishop Timon-St. Jude, 3-3.
Hockey Fights Cancer was founded by the NHL and NHLPA to support the cancer programs of local and national cancer research institutions, children's hospitals, play charities and local charities. Purple is the primary color for the representation of pancreatic cancer.
The new CHS uniform colorway is white with purple as the secondary color and a navy trim.Â
Game Overview
In the first period, the Crusaders struggled to stay in full strength as they tallied four total penalties. The Tigers capitalized on the penalties as they scored the first goal of the game during a power play.
The Crusaders came into the second period energized as both
Jack Daigler '25 and Luke Borysak '26 scored to pull ahead of the Tigers 2-1.Â
The Crusaders extended their lead to two as
Jack Daigler '25 opened up third period scoring with his second goal of the game. The Tigers came back as the scored the next two goals to tie the game up and send it into overtime where the game finished in a tie.
