Hockey co-POY David Barczak '26 among three All-Catholic First Teamers

David Barczak '26 of Orchard Park was named the Monsignor Martin High School Athletic Association Offensive Player of the Year while two other Crusaders were also named to the All-Catholic First Team. 

Barczak finished the season with 35 Points, 21 Goals, and 14 Assists. 

Baczak scored 3 goals, along with the Game Two game winner in Overtime against Bishop Timon-St. Jude in the MMHSAA Semifinal series to keep the season alive. 

Trent Yoder '27 of Grand Island and Jakob Wiest '27 of Orchard Park were also named to the All-Catholic First Team. 

Trent Yoder delivered the game winning goal in Overtime of the MMHSAA championship game against rival St. Joe's. 

Jakob Wiest had a 0.927 save percentage, allowing 332 goals on 358 shots. 

Carter Butcher '28 of North Tonawanda was named to the All-Catholic Second Team.

Butcher had the assist on the game winning Yoder goal and led the Crusaders in Points with 41 on the season. 

The Crusaders face Chaminade in the New York State Catholic High School Championship Saturday at the LECOM Harborcenter at 3 p.m.
