The Crusaders Hockey team started the new year by picking up a pair of Monsignor Martin Athletic Association wins to close out Christmas break before heading to the North Country this upcoming weekend.
On Friday, the Crusaders took down St. Francis by a score of 5-2.
The First Star of the game was
Trent Yoder '27 of Grand Island, the Second Star was
Sean Whelehan '27 of North Tonawanda, and the Third Star was
Will LaCivita '26 of Amherst.
Sean Whelehan scored twice, with
David Barczak '26 of Orchard Park,
Israel Thomann '27 of Clarence, and
Carter Bridge '27 of North Tonawanda each scoring once.
The Crusaders followed it up with a 6-2 win over St. Mary's on Saturday.

Carter Butcher '28 of North Tonawanda, the Second Star was Jacob Wiest '27 of Orchard Park, and the Third Star was
Nick Scime '26 of Amherst.

Nick Scime each scored once.
Next up, the Crusaders travel to northern New York for the Mark Tyo Tournament in Massena, where CHS will face off against Canton Friday at 5:45 p.m. and Massena Saturday at 3:40 p.m. at Massena Arena.
