CHS Sailing finished its spring season with an excellent performance, taking second at the New York State Sailing Championship in Rochester.

Lake Ontario saw variable conditions last weekend, from sunny, light winds and choppy water to heavy fog on Sunday which cut the races to only two on the second of two days.

The Crusader crew of Charlie Marynowski '26 and Matt Murad '26 battled both days for the top position against the sailors of Long Island's Stony Brook Bears.

CHS took a first-place finish on the final race of the regatta and finished just seven points off the lead among the 10 boats. 

A second boat of Crusader sailors skippered by Jack Riley '25 and Will Emblidge '27 took an impressive sixth place.
