CHS Hockey remains hot as they improved to 9-2-2 on the season with a 9-1 victory over the Capital District Jets.
The Crusaders traveled to Albany as there nonleague schedule is made up of some of the best competition across the state.
They scrimmaged Christian Brother's Academy of Albany Friday night and finished up on Saturday with a game against the Capital District Jets, which is a combined team of five high schools in the greater Albany Area (Colonie Central, Averill Park, Tamarac, Shaker and Columbia).
Against the Capital District Jets, the Crusaders started off slow but still controlled the tempo as the they held a 2-1 lead going into the second period.Â
It was all Canisius in the final two periods as they scored three in the second and four in the third for a final score of 9-1.
Jack Daigler '25 and
Brian Kowalow '25 led the way in scoring with each collecting a hat trick and one assist.
David Barczak '26 shared the wealth with four assists and added a goal of his own.
Jack Grillo '26 played great in net with a .900 save percentage – with the only goal being let in on a power play – and his first assist from the goalie position.Â
