Hall of Fame
An All-Catholic basketball star at the start of the renewed Canisius-St. Joe's rivalry on the court, Alvah Connolly was a favorite athlete of the late Johnny Barnes. Alvah's induction into the Hall of Fame marked the continuation of a family tradition: his son, Mike '70, and older brother Bucky '41, preceded him into the Canisius Sports Hall of Fame.Â
After graduating from Canisius, Alvah served in World War II
Alvah retired after 40 years of operating his own tax-accounting service. Alvah and his wife Pat were proud parents of six daughters, two sons, and 24 grandchildren.Â
