Varsity Football 1962:
By nay standard, this was a team for the ages. Both the offense and the defense was #1 in both divisions of the Catholic League. While the offense was averaging 311 yards and racking up 26 points per game, the defense was ceding only 138 total yards and allowing only 4.5 points per game. The Team was recognized nationally when Coach John Barnes was named the 1962 National Catholic Coach of the year and the team received the Jesuit Supremacy Trophy as the #1 Jesuit football team in America. 20 players were named to the 1962 All-Catholic Teams.

Varsity Football 1963:
Following on the heels of the prior season's formidable records, the 1963 Crusaders were undaunted. The offense set a record 2,040 rushing yards and 589 passing yards, scored 232 points, and quarterback Joe Michael was never sacked. On the other side of the ball, the defense yielded only seven touchdowns and just 5.25 points per game. They capped the season with a dramatic 19-18 win over St. Joe's and a load of post season awards: One player was named to the 1st team Prep School All-American; 2 players named to 1st team All-WNY; 5 players to the 1st team All-Catholic; 3 to the 2nd team All-Catholic; 3 to the 2nd team All-Catholic and 2 received Honorable Mention.Â
