Thomas Sherby was a four-year letterman in hockey for the Crusaders. His superior speed and tremendous scoring touch made him the most electrifying player on the ice. Teammates and classmates remember him for being lightning fast with the puck. A prolific scorer Sherby recorder multiple five-goal games for the Blue and Gold.

Tom was the first Crusader to earn a Division I scholarship fro hockey. At Clarkson University, Tom helped the knights to an undefeated 1955-56 campaign (23-0-0) by averaging a point per game. Tom received the Arnold H. Barben award from Clarkson for outstanding professional achievement and community service by alumnus in 2011. Tom Graduated from Clarkson with a bachelor of mechanical engineering. He then received a master of engineering administration degree from George Washington University and a master of medical engineering from the University of Pittsburg. Tom also earned his PhD in engineering from the University of Pittsburg. Tom is the retired Chairman, President and CEO of Knights Technology Inc, a software company serving the semiconductor manufacturing industry.
