Michael LoTurco

  • Class

  • Induction
    2005
  • Sport(s)
    Football, Track & Field
Mike played two years of football starting on the varsity as a tailback in his sophomore year. He also played freshman and JV basketball, but it was in track in the pentathlon and decathlon, that he really made his mark. He gave up other sports in his junior year to concentrate on the technique and conditioning that five events to 10 events in two days demands. Mike won the Empire Games Decathlon in the summer before his senior year, and was second in the nation at the Pathmark National Scholastic Indoor Championships in his senior year. In his senior year, he led Western New York in six outdoor track and field events. Mike was on the 400 relay team that won the All-Catholics in his freshman and sophomore years and was a member of the Mile relay team that won their race at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, the only such win in the school's history.

Mike went on to compete at and graduate from Georgetown University.
