Hall of Fame
Martin "Marty" Hanaka was the 1966 Crusaders Football team captain. He was All-Catholic, All-City and All-Western New York in his junior and senior year. In Baseball Marty was All-Catholic and All-City in his junior and senior year. In Basketball Marty was Honorable mention for All-Catholic and All-City.
Marty continued his education at Cornell University where he graduated in 1971.Â
Throughout his professional career, Marty became the Chairman Emeritus at the Sports Authority and past President and Chief Operating Officer of Staples. Previously Marty worked as VP for Brand Central at Sears for 20 years.Â
