The 1978 and 1979 Cross Country teams won 28 straight meets that included invitational meets that included invitational meets across New York State. Coached by Jim Skipper, SHOF member and John Barnes Award Recipient, the harriers showed determination, commitment, and relentless spirit. During the 28 meet winning streak the team captured the Burke Athletic Association and ll-Catholic championships ans in 1978 were ranked 19th in the state.
