Hall of Fame
Frank Fusco was the consummate competitor. His tremendous effort on the field or court earned him the respect of his teammates and opponents. A two year started at guard for the late Coach Tim Keenan, Frank was a tenacious defender whose touch from the outside complemented the run and gun style of the Manhattan Championship teams of the late 1990s.
Frank played varsity quarterback for part of his sophomore year and all of his junior year and transitioned to an All-Catholic fullback his senior year. As a senior Frank was the heart of one of the most talented football teams the Crusaders fielded in years. The highlight of the year was a victory over Timon St. Jude snapping a 10 plus year losing streak.
Frank was a three-year member of both varsity football and varsity basketball. He was a 2nd Team All-WNY selection for football his senior year. He is the last Crusader to earn 1st Team All-Catholic in Football and Basketball in the same season. Frank played football at Canisius College, playing on one of the last teams in Golden Griffin History. He has an MBA from Wagner College.Â
