William "Bill" Coppola was First Team All-Catholic, Second Team All-Western New York Basketball, First Team All-Tournament Manhattan Cup Playoffs and MVP Jack Donohue Basketball Camp. He was third leading scorer in the Burke League in Basketball and Honorable Mention in Baseball, finishing tenth in the league in batting average.

After Canisius, Bill continued at LeMoyne College where he received a BS in Business with a Major in Accounting. After finishing his degree, Bill became a Certified Public Accountant.
