Older brother of fellow inductee, Mark... one of the few CHS athletes to letter in four sports. . .in the spring he split his time between baseball and track, competing as a miler in the latter sport and as a slick fielding shortstop on the 1971 Canisius Georgetown Cup Champions. . .played in the back-court on the Crusader Cage squad. . .on the gridiron Dave was "Mr. Versatility" being called upon by Coach Johnny Barnes to fill the roles of fullback, quarterback, corner back, long snapper and punter as the situation demanded.

At Loyola College in Montreal he was a three year starter at corner back, earning All-Quebec honors. . .with subsequent degrees in physical education from Canisius College.

David has been teaching at Akron Central High School. . .has coached tennis, football and basketball, winning multiple league titles in the cage sport. . .received the annual Sportsmanship Award from the Western New York Basketball Officials Association.
