Fran Cosgrove used his height and agility to great advantage as a prolific scorer and tenacious rebounder on the basketball court ans as an agile first baseman on the baseball diamond. He earned All-Catholic honors in baseball and basketball, leading the Crusaders to the league championship in the latter sports. 

An outstanding student, Fran earned degrees at Canisius College and the University at Buffalo Law.
