Hall of Fame
A member of the distinguished family of Canisius athletes, Lou was a star on Coach Al Guarnieri's football teams of the early 1930's. An infielder on the baseball teams that competed successfully in Cornell Cup competition. On the basketball court he was a member of the Canisius quintet that won the New York State and competed in the National Catholic Tournament in Chicago.
Lou continued his athletic career at Canisius College.
After graduation, he was head of plant protection at Republican Steel until his retirement.Â
Lou and his wife Rose passed away in the 1980s. Their sons Larry and Lou Jr. are Crusader alumni.
