Hall of Fame
Jim's high school memories are of coaching legends John Barnes on the football field, Mr. Mac on the basketball court, and the sports rallies that kicked off memorable weekends of competition. On one of those weekends, Jim set the CHS record for shot put, on another for discus. He also set a league record for shot put.
After graduation, Jim continued to set records for Buffalo State and was named MVP in field events. Jim's association with Canisius High School began as a freshman in 1956, and didn't formally end until 1999. During those years, he coached track with Mr. Skipper and football with Mr. Gemmer. Fr. Bilotti hired him as Vice President for Advancement, a position he held for 16 years. He went on to be named Executive Director of Institutional Advancement, for Trocaire College.Â
Proud to be a Crusader, Jim is a past recipient of the John Barnes Award.Â
