One of three brothers who graduated from Canisius, Frank starred on the school's first hockey team, but he is best remembered for his exploits on the gridiron. . .a starting guard for three years, he was voted the team's outstanding lineman in his senior year. . .served in a Marine Corps Rifle Company in the South Pacific during World War II. . .retired in 1985 from the Buffalo Fire Department after almost 40 years of service. . .served as an assistant football coach at Ryan High School and at St. Joe's. . .Frank and his wife Joanne have raised nine children. His only son Michael is a CHS alumnus and his grandson Charles is also a CHS alumnus.
