With the excellent coaching of his step-father, John Jablonski, Ben was one of the prolific scorers in Crusader court history with a career aver Age of over 25 points a game. . .league-leading scorer in his senior year. . .All-Catholic and 2nd team All-Western New York. . .National Jesuit High School All-American. . .recipient of the 1989 "Mr. Mack" award. . .Ben was elected "Mr. Canisius" and was class valedictorian.

After one year at Brown University he continued his basketball career at Amherst College where his court exploits earned him selection to All New England, All ECAC and Division III All-American teams.

Ben played professionally in Switzerland, Mauritius, Malta, Ireland, Coasta Rica and the USA.

Ben earned degrees in Political Sciences & International Concentration. After his professional basketball career, Ben embarked on a career in the financial world in New York City.
