Hall of Fame
While at Canisius, Paul played varsity baseball, hockey and football. Paul was All-Catholic in Baseball, won the Greg Werder Memorial Award in hockey and was Mr. Canisius his graduating year.
Paul went on to the University of Rochester where he was the starting shortstop for four years, a two-time recipient of the Lysle Garnish Award (MVP) for baseball in 1980 and 1981 and the NCAA Academic All-American (Baseball) in 1980. Paul set 15 school records, including most runs in a season and a career, most hits in a season and career, and highest batting average in a career.Â
