Hall of Fame
Mark Pleto excelled at every sport he participated in at every level of competition. In his three years at Canisius High School he was a 1st Team All-Catholic in football, basketball and baseball. He was a key contributor to the undefeated 1972 varsity football team and 1973 Georgetown Cup Championship varsity baseball team. He led the Burke League (Basketball) in scoring and was the hitting champion in baseball. He finished his outstanding scholastic career at Newman High School.
In college he was a four year started in baseball and was named All-League three times for the Fordham Rams. He is a member of both the Fordham University Athletic Hall of Fame and the Western New York Baseball Hall of Fame. Mark is still an outstanding athlete carrying a single handicap in golf.
